I was born in Jalisco, Mexico and moved to California at a young age.  For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in art, partly because my mother is an artist. I became inspired after looking through tattoo magazines, Mexican art books and also seeing the graffiti in the streets of Guadalajara, Jalisco and Los Angeles. I relocated to the Green Bay area where I have spent most of my adult life. I knew that I wanted to do something with art. I spent a lot of time drawing, learning how to airbrush, and practicing tattooing. I learned several different drawing and painting techniques through classes offered at the Artisan Center and The Art Garage. I then was given the opportunity to do a tattoo apprenticeship.

Fast forward to today...I took the next step by finding a place that I can do everything I learned over the years. With the support from family and friends, and a lot of hard work, I'm proud to open our family-owned shop, Sugar Skull Tattoo. ​
